Dead Girls

During Lone Star Explosion 2012, Sway Youngston and I embodied two dead women. We hung from the stairs in an upper corner of the large upstairs space at the ancient and  dust cluttered attic-like venue, Notsuoh.
As the festival raucously went on below, we hung lifeless in the out of the way and unused corner of the space.

This is a performance about the parts of myself I murdered and hid in the attic.
Mostly in my youth, I have tried to quit murdering
now that I have a little more perspective.
Heinous acts of self preservation.
There are things I'd rather ignore when there is a good party happening.
Unfortunately, even things i have choked the fucking life out of and dragged up three god damn flights of stairs will still interrupt the fucking party.
I didn't want it to cause a big ruckus.
Just a few bodies hanging in a corner.
But it drew a big crowd.
I can't blame them.
It turns out dead bodies often attract more attention than living ones.
